A clay bar/mit can pull embedded contaminants out fo your paint that could not be removed by a car wash soap. If you rub your hand (inside a plastic baggy) across your paint and it is rough to the touch, then there are contaminants present and a clay bar/mit would be suggested. Leaving the embedded contaminants will cause your vehicle’s paint to appear dull and may cause damage to its clear coat over time.

Generally speaking, no! Drive-through car wash services that use spinning brushes to clean your vehicle can leave scratches on your investment’s paint. If you cannot wash your vehicle by hand and cannot schedule a pro-detailer to wash it, a touch-less may be an option. But, keep in mind that touch-less wash services may be using extremely harsh chemicals to clean your vehicle and may cause damage over time.
